ESPN E:60

Nominated for 2009 Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Musical Composition, ESPN's E:60 Homecourt features the Union Rescue Mission; where the homeless can come and learn how to repair their lives with basketball. DBR was asked to score and perform original score on screen.

DBR was asked to arrange Lady Gaga's hit song Poker Face and perform live on American Idol.

PBS Music Instinct

DBR was asked to provide live demonstrations and performances on the violin and workshops with school children in an ambitious PBS project, The Music Instinct: Science and Song . Researchers and scientists from a variety of fields use groundbreaking techniques that reveal startling new connections between music and the human mind, the body and the universe. Together with an array of musicians from rock and rap to jazz and classical, they put music under the microscope.

Off and Running

DBR was asked to score Off and Running , a feature documentary by filmmaker Nicole Opper. The work is a unique and very American coming-of-age story that delves into the psyche of race through a fresh and careful dissection of a family's struggle. Off and Running premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2009 and is slated for nation-wide broadcast on PBS' award winning series POV in 2010.

Strange Things

DBR was asked to provide music for Strange Things , a film about homeless children in Haiti, directed by Alexandria Hammond. The film takes place in the Northern city of Cap-Haitian where the land is lush and where the history runs deep. It is a landscape of contrasts and the site where Haiti won its independence in 1804.
